The most severe sex crimes are classified as criminal sexual conduct 1st degree. They are sex offenses involving sexual intercourse, such as rape, sex crimes involving minors, and date rape. CSC 1st-degree charges cover sex crimes dealing with sexual penetration, including oral, anal, and vaginal penetration.
First-degree CSC is a felony punishable by a maximum life sentence or a lengthy prison term. You may also be required to pay the court charges and a hefty fine. In addition, you will need to sign up with the Michigan Sex Offender Registry and can be subject to electronic monitoring for the rest of your life.

The least severe sex offenses in Michigan are considered criminal sexual conduct 4th degree. It involves non-consensual touching, just like 2nd-degree CSC. It entails caressing another person’s private areas, including the inner thigh, breasts, penis, vagina, and anus.
The maximum term for sex offenses classified as CSC 4th degree is two years in prison, a $500 fine, or both. If found guilty of this crime, the defendant might need to sign up with the sex offender registry.
